Tea Party Demographics

Posted June 30th, 2010, by Moderator

Looks like Gallup found out what we already knew. TEA has everything that AMERICA does but it is a bit more Constitutionally Conservative…. “Tea Party supporters skew Republican and conservative politically; but in terms of their age, education, employment, and other basic demographic characteristics, they are generally representative of the public at large.” You can also  SEE OUR OWN WEBSITE DEMOGRAPHICS BELOW:

Tea Party supporters are decidedly Republican and conservative in their leanings. Also, compared with average Americans, supporters are slightly more likely to be male and less likely to be lower-income.

In several other respects, however — their age, educational background, employment status, and race — Tea Partiers are quite representative of the public at large.

Our website traffic by state:

It would be interesting to see the per capita numbers for website traffic by State. I would imagine more States would have darker colors if you were trying to see the percentage of people in each state who are active, not just total numbers. It is not surprising TX, CA, NY and FL have a lot of activity since they also have larger populations.

Your general observation may be true William, but the part that grabs my attention is the simple fact that #2 & #3 are CA and NY which are always a democratic voting states! There must be a lot of disgruntled voters in all parties out there speaking their mind via Tea Parties. Interesting material.

It is time for the laborers’ and all with paychecks which set just above the poverty level to increase and keep up with the cost of living. These bankers get borrowed bank money to go off to the resorts, I want my check, we want rebates, instead of paying for the great trips the banking executives are receiving from borrowed money to straighten out their screwups….nope they just made a few more. This is Ameica and all of our jobs are going outside the country to decrease pay even more. What has happened here, are we going to get this straightened out? Our countries fairness is slipping as well as the respect from other countries. Going for a nice cold Iced Tea! Join me….

I agree that the banks and other large corporations can sometimes abuse the free market/capitalistic framewrok but by in large, these organizations are the driving force of our economy. I also agree that our job market is in the tank but not so much from corporate decisions as from laws passed by OUR elected officials. Yes there are lobbyists at play but to strengthen our nation we must do away with NAFTA and other unfair legislation by voting out our leaders that bow down to these lobbyists. The other aspect is the entitlement spending that has grown to bloated porportions. The bible clearly states that if a man will not work let him not eat. There are a lot of people that are more willing to take the government dole rather than take lesser jobs than they think they should have, to feed their families.

Sad thing is, we can put 400 people in front of our democrat congressmans office, and the people inside will act bored, as if those people dont matter.

There is a political chat room I would like to post this link into including signing the constitution (Freethinkers Perception Lounge at Talkcity.com)

People that are emotionally outraged over misinformation spread by a biased news network would, of course, not matter. ;)

… Proving that the Tea Party is HARDLY independent and will have the effect of getting more Democrats more seats in Congress because extreme candidates are weak candidates. ;)

How about you all base your opinions in actual facts? Oh wait, you’d have to stop listening to the mass mis-informational, over emotional BULLSHIT that has been perpetrated by, “conservative,” media for over a decade now.

I am at a point of frustration like so many other Americans whom love there country, and are beyond sick of how our government squanders trillions of dollars generated by hard working people. They are suppose to be working for us! I support the Tea Party and hope it grows into a large viable movement for real change that we desperatly need for the good of the American people.
