Question…Are those millions of people you see on TV protesting RACIST? ANTI-SEMITIC? CLOSED MINDED? I don’t think so. I am one. One of the millions of people like you that has had it! It’s a distraction so you don’t see that people just like you feel bullied and unheard. I am a Jewish White Man Married to a like minded Beautiful Catholic Black Woman, I run my own business and believe in the constitution and I love my country. Doesn’t fit the mold? To bad! Stop believing in molds! You and I are not backward, racist, violent or bigoted people but people who believe in a country of laws. We don’t want to be over taxed or for the dollars we work hard to earn to be squandered. And we don’t want to leave our mess to our children to clean up! We have seen two administrations try to tackle the economy with knee jerk reactions and fail. We don’t want to be forced to go along with ANYTHING, ANYMORE that we haven’t had a chance to Read, Understand or VOTE for!

To my Democrat & Republican friends and family:

YOU SHOULD BE OUTRAGED AS WELL.

No matter how you stand on the issues, don’t believe the main stream media or your political party. Believe in yourself and your family and do like Bob: GET UP, STAND UP, STAND UP FOR YOUR RIGHTS! In a nonviolent way by voting anyone out of office that you disagree with! It is time for real change. The kind that doesn’t come from HOPE but from hard work and from uncomfortable realistic rational actions. You have a voice so use it. Tell your friends and family we can make a difference if we band together.

If you agree with me you are an American and can now say

“I AM THE TEA PARTY” too! :)

If you agree with me and want to tell your friends and family from both political parties we agree on more than we disagree Recommend this page to your Facebook friends.

Thank you for your time.

I did find this–I guess the Guy was actually trying to elbow him but his jaw got in the way!

In Elko, Obama tried to anticipate his critics and called on the crowd of about 1,500 to sharpen their elbows, too.
“I need you to go out and talk to your friends and talk to your neighbors. I want you to talk to them whether they are independent or whether they are Republican. I want you to argue with them and get in their face,” he said.
“And if they tell you that, ‘Well, we’re not sure where he stands on guns.’ I want you to say, ‘He believes in the Second Amendment.’ If they tell you, ‘Well, he’s going to raise your taxes,’ you say, ‘No, he’s not, he’s going lower them.’ You are my ambassadors. You guys are the ones who can make the case.”

Hello everyone, I have a message I think all of you would want to know about.
I have a friend who contacted me about this a few weeks ago, and they have been
working to find out whatever they could about this incident before going any further.
Rather than try an explain it myself, I’m going to attach e-mails and private messages
    that tell the story.
The long and the short of this is after hearing the story, it will be up to you to decided
if writing or calling those who might need to hear from you, whether that is the right
action. I think, with most I already what that action might be.
Here is the gist of the story, gathered over the past few weeks.

ORIGINALLY POSTED ON “EONS” MAY 16TH
The other day I posted about the death of a friend and patriot. His funeral was yesterday he was a navy veteran, and a former policeman.. He also was very vocal in his political stand even to the point of puting into his obituary that instead of flowers donations to any candidate who runs against Obama or senator Sherrod Brown should be made..
Well, HIS American Legion post he was a member of.. was supposed to cover the funeral and grave side service as far as a veterans military rites.
This Legion Post would not do it.. they refused because of his political stand, (tea party memeber) and what he had put in his obituary. I am shocked at this..
My friend served his country proudly and honorablly.. What is wrong with this picture ???

    2 DAYS LATER:
I will keep all here posted on what is taking place. Right now we are waiting for the family to compose a letter stating just what was said to them. The Commander of this post is brand new and he said he was not aware of the stituation.. be a few at the post have told us that there were several members who did not like David’s stand politically. The Vets in the group will not let this ride rest assured we will do what is necessary or what the family requests us to do. Thanks for your ire. over this situation.. God Save America

    PRIVATE MESSAGE: June 21st
Well after more than a month of calling and sort of getting the run around the New Commander of the Bellville Ohio Legion Post got back with us on why they did not fulfill their duty to their dead brother .
It was a decision made by the color guard itself ( so says the commander ) and he could not say if it were all or only one of them that protested giving this man his honor guard rites at his funeral. He told his that it was because he was a tea party member and that on 2 occasions he had flown the flag upside down on the day when bills had been passed by congress one being the health care bill not sure of the other one that the color guard made the decision based upon this to not attend the funeral…….
I still believe that this was a slap in the face of all vets.. what will be next will they refuse to give honors to someone that is a democrat or a republican or a libertarin, etc.. The man was a vet and retire policeman.. He served his Nation and Community proudly.

    Re: american legion
Here you go Ray. I copied and pasted this to you it is what we have on a facebook page established this week, after hearing from that posts commander. We wanted to give them time to respond and to contact David’s wife in the way of an appolgy or something. The info you have the post number and address is correct. if you need anything else please let me know. God Bless you my friend. Sue

Dave Garver, a founding member of the Mansfield North Central Ohio Tea Party Association passed away last month. Dave was an honorably discharged veteran and a member of the Bellville, Ohio American Legion Post #535.
This post denied a color guard for Dave’s funeral, in part because he belonged to a Tea Party group. See the letter below the dotted line for more detailed information. We are going to send this letter to the state officials of the Ohio American legion.
If you are outraged by this action as many of us are and wish to have your name attached to this letter, please send us a message with your name and the city you live in. If you are also a member of the American Legion, VFW, Amvets, or other veterans’ organization, provide that information also. We are adding names daily.
You can read Dave’s outstanding obituary here:

    THE LETTER:
    June 21, 2011
Dennis Clausing, Commander, Ohio American Legion
Bob Klostermeier, First Vice Commander, Ohio American Legion
Steve Masowick, Second Vice Commander, Ohio American Legion

Regarding: Post #535, Bellville, Ohio, and the funeral of member, Dave Garver

    Gentlemen:

Dave Garver was a 20-year member of Post #535. He was an honorably discharged Navy Veteran and a retired police officer. He and Margo, his wife of 48 years, have lived in the Bellville area for a considerable time. Dave passed away on May 13 of this year. His funeral was held at Wappner Funeral Directors in Mansfield, Ohio.

One of the funeral directors contacted the Bellville post and asked that a color guard be provided for the funeral. The funeral director contacted Jake Warner, Color Guard Commander. Jake informed the funeral director that the post would provide a color guard. Within the next day or two, Jake called the funeral director and informed her that the post would not be able to provide a color guard for a number of reasons including that Dave was a member of a Tea Party group, that Dave, in his obituary encouraged people to support certain political candidates (see his attached obituary), and that he had on occasion flown his American flag upside down. This information was relayed to Dave’s wife and other family members by the funeral director. So Margo Garver, on the worst day of her life, had ADDITIONAL pain and stress piled on her shoulders! Fortunately, the funeral director was able to contact another color guard that did provide the honor.

I (Dennis Oleksa) spoke to the Post Commander (Charles Kvochick) a number of times. I told Charles that Dave’s family and many other people were outraged by this act of his post. In my initial conversation with Charles, he informed me that he was not aware that this had happened and that he would investigate it and get back to me. He did investigate it and I last talked to him this week. Charles found that members of the color guard declined to participate for some of the reasons previously stated and as a result, there were not enough members to provide a proper color guard. Charles told me that he thought these members acted improperly, but maintained that the post, in an official manner, did not decline to provide a color guard, that instead, the individuals who are members of the color guard made a personal choice and consequently the post was not able to provide the honor to a 20-year member.

We find the actions of these members to be reprehensible and as a result a disgrace to Post #535 and the American Legion organization as a whole. Should members of a color guard at any post be able to opt out because of a person’s politics – WE THINK NOT! Their function is to honor a fallen, honorably discharged brother or sister regardless of that veteran’s race, color, religion, politics, or any other reason.

We, the undersigned, are certain that you also recognize this injustice committed upon Dave, Margo and their family and ask for your help in rectifying this situation. We ask that you do two things.

    1) That the American Legion Organization make amends to Dave Garver’s wife and family for this hurtful and despicable act.

    2) That Post #535 be investigated and disciplined appropriately.

That’s the story. I’ve already contacted both the Ohio post in question and the National Hdqts.
to register my outrage. If this bothers you as much as it did me, I hope you will take similar
    action.
I understand that all of us do NOT hold the same political points of view. That should have
nothing to do with honoring those who have served this nation with honor, and it angers me
beyond words that there are those who would deny that last, simple measure of respect.
Thank you all for reading this far. I’m sure you will ALL act accordingly.
    RAY
